Become a Patron!
Throughout our membership year, Congregation Beth Sholom actively recruits new synagogue members. There are lots of benefits to being a member.
However, we are aware that many in the local community do not want to assume the commitment to membership in a synagogue but do feel personally supported knowing that there is an active Jewish congregation in Citrus County.
You may or may not attend our weekly Sabbath services, held on both Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, or our services for all the Jewish holidays. You may or may not participate in our educational events. You may or may not participate in social and cultural activities hosted by our congregation. Yet you are grateful that all of the above are available and open to all community members. Membership is not required.
Our new Patron program suggests a defined way for you to express support and gratitude for all we do with a new category of giving. Non-members who become Patrons, by making a suggested annual donation of $180 (representing “chai” which means life times ten), will have the option to be formally recognized by Congregation Beth Sholom in our monthly newsletter, the Shofar. You will be put on the Patron mailing list for both the Shofar and our weekly e-news. Patrons will also have the opportunity to be included in the Book of Remembrance which we publish annually at Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.
Contact Membership Chair, Sheila Abrahams by email at or by phone or text at (352) 464-3128 for more information about becoming a Patron.

Are you a snowbird spending winters in Citrus County who appreciates knowing that there is a vibrant local Jewish Community?
